7 Easy Steps to Getting Setup
For organizations of 15 users or more, onsite migrations are the standard. A detailed migration plan is prepared, outlining the process that will lead up to the final transition. This process can take from two days to several weeks depending on complexity and scheduling. Clients are charged a flat setup fee, which includes the entire migration process along with the first 45 days of service (the evaluation period). The actual migration takes place over a 3-7 day onsite visit. During this time, all systems are tested, data is organized and copied, users are trained, and the client goes live. Our expert staff then remains onsite to assist users for at least another day.

For organizations of less than 15 users, this same process can be completed in a matter of days, if not hours. Users are trained remotely and the data transfer is handled by our support department. An onsite migration is rarely required.

Step 1: Organizational Information We need to know how your organization is setup and who the users are within your company. Is your company divided into departments? What are the names of the users? What are their email addresses?

What applications do you currently use? Do you want to change, add, or upgrade any of these programs? Should all users have access to all applications or are there specific assignments? Answers to these questions will determine the functionality that External IT will provide.

This information is gathered using a simple worksheet, which the company manager can complete online, on paper, or over the phone. For most organizations, this information is readily accessible.
