Overview
As you well know, it’s hard to overstate the importance of backup and security. In an instant, a company can be gone. This is why External IT goes to what some people might call extremes, to anticipate any possible disaster, and offer our clients a range of state-of-the-art availability and security options.
If there’s one thing that we obsess over, above and beyond anything else, it’s making sure that your information assets, business-critical applications and cloud-enabled corporate network infrastructure are always running and secure.
Here’s a quick overview of our approach. Each heading to the left will give you the particulars in greater depth.
Our mantra: "Omm. Up-time. Omm. Up-time."
Built-in high availability and security
To begin, we build our high availability and disaster recovery options right into the system. This enables us to deliver first-tier level protections at a cost that’s affordable to any organization, regardless of size, and without incurring so much as a dollar’s worth of capital expenditure.
Built-in intrusion prevention
External IT systems are defended from malicious attack and other risks with best-practice security processes. These are powered by a combination of industry-leading hardware and software security tools, and are built into our delivery infrastructure and systems architecture.
If we didn’t want you to read this particular sentence, an army of hackers would be well challenged to make it accessible. Multiple layers of security protect your IT services and data, including intrusion protection services, data protection and data preservation. A vault inside a fortress inside a mountain.
Availability and disaster recovery choices
The earth moves. You never feel it.
Our least expensive options achieve a high level of security, reliability, and backup. But every company has different needs. To make sure that that each of our clients is perfectly served we offer a range of backup and replication choices, high availability plans (with end-to-end availability up to four nines), disaster recovery options, as well as connectivity choices to ensure you have secure access.
From basic daily backup to having a hot standby site
You can opt for basic daily local backups and weekly off-site replication. At the other extreme you can have real-time continuous replication with live failover to secondary and tertiary sites. This ensures there is no loss of service for the highest availability.
In the event of a Data Center disaster, the intelligent External IT system (OS33) redirects users from your primary Data Center to a failover Data Center with no change to the end user experience. The earth moves. You never feel it.
Every company has different security needs. No matter how extreme, or fundamental but sound, we can easily make sure that you’re covered -- and covered with a level of security that, in all likelihood, surpasses whatever measures you’re currently taking.
Our advice is to err on the side of the unexpected.
