How safe is your data in our Data Centers? We have multiple, redundant servers. Redundant power sources. Failover Data Centers. Redundant Internet connectivity with virtually unlimited bandwidth. We backup our backup, something the typical midsize business can not do housing their resources around the office.
Access to External IT Data Centers is limited to authorized personnel passing biometric hand scanning, and 24 hour on-site security guards. From our Network Operations Center, we continuously monitor each piece of hardware and every service that’s running. Surveillance cameras also keep a vigilant eye, and their imagery is linked to centralized monitoring.

Every External IT Data Center is SAS 70 Type II compliant, meets Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requirements, complies with the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines.

Network infrastructure
With External IT you have the premier standards of a fully managed Cisco network. Our clients enjoy enterprise-level Cisco routing and switching. We’re talking Force 10, high performance switch routers, and Ethernet-based switching that renders speeds ranging from 100 Megabits to 10 Gigabits Ethernet. We also backup our clients with fully redundant Cisco ASA security appliances, and Tipping Point IPS systems. In the end, if your business isn’t safe, neither is ours.
Intruder detection and prevention systems
External IT employs systems that actively monitor all network traffic to detect any attempt to log in or access resources without authorization. If suspicious activity is detected, protective measures are taken and our technicians are notified immediately. This is not a place to cut corners. We use the industry-recognized best enterprise systems, Tipping Point IPS.
Multi-level physical security
