The power of staying in

Data Center Security

All things valuable in life should be so secure as an External IT Data Center. Our Data Centers are as reliable and secure as any in the United States. The Pentagon might challenge this claim, but no one else will. These are best-of-breed and distributed across the nation. They feature the forefront in security, backup power systems, storm protection, and climate control.

We continuously monitor each piece of hardware and every service running within our Data Centers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Sensors that
sample the
air. No detail
is too small.
or for that
matter, too
invisible.

Multi-level physical security

Access to External IT Data Centers is limited to authorized personnel. Everyone has to pass through biometric hand scanning as well as the knowing and inquisitive eyes of on-site security guards.

Digital video surveillance systems and centralized monitoring track all Data Center Activity, and our buildings are anonymous. They have no windows, and all exterior entrances are alarmed.

Secure power supply from redundant systems

The electrical systems in our Data Centers are guaranteed to run continuously. They are dual, parallel, uninterruptible systems, and are backed up by diesel fuel generators.

Our Uninterruptable Power Supply systems guard against power spikes, surges and brownouts, and our generators step in, in the event of a public utility outage.

Physical structure

Our buildings are strong in the extreme. They’re designed to withstand the effects of fire, flood, and earthquakes.

To suppress fire, we have a dual-alarmed, dual-interlock, multi-zoned, water-based dry pipe fir protection system. Sensors sample the air and set off an alarm prior to water pressurization.

To control flooding, each Data Center is built above sea level and 500 year-year-old flood plains. They do not have basements, use tightly sealed conduits, and have moisture barriers on the exterior walls.

External IT Data Centers also are equipped with dedicated pump rooms, drainage/evacuation systems, and moisture detection sensors.

Earthquake management

Our buildings often go beyond local building codes and exceed seismic design requirements for lateral seismic forces.

Environmental control

Even the airflow, humidity and temperature, throughout each structure, is carefully controlled. Here we employ premier HVAC systems that have been very specifically configured.
